The presentation will discuss Affidavits. Affidavits concerning the cost and necessity of medical services are an essential part of almost all personal injury cases. Undoubtedly during their career, a paralegal will be asked by an attorney to calculate the deadline to file an affidavit under Section 18.001 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code. Section 18.001 identifies the requirements for these all-important affidavits and the just as important counter-affidavits. This event will explain why these affidavits are so important and help to identify the purpose and deadlines associated.
